Dear Year One Children,

Once again, it is another week where we can’t see your lovely smiles in our classrooms! Fortunately, we have had the pleasure of hearing some of your voices! This week, the teachers have been trying to keep out of trouble at home: Miss Smith’s chest of drawers are now complete and grey! Well done to those of you who guessed the colour correctly. She has also been quizzing with her friends and WON! Make sure you tell Miss Smith how much of a clever clogs she is when you next see her!

Mrs Singh has decided to pick up the paintbrush to paint her fence – can you guess the colour? Unfortunately, the ever-changing weather has meant that Mrs Singh has a half-painted fence so cross your fingers for her and hope for better weather!

Miss Roome spoke to her mum via video call last week to wish her a very happy birthday! Can you guess what flavour cake she had? As much as Miss Roome would’ve loved to have spent her mum’s birthday with her, she knows that home is the safest place right now and that birthday celebrations will just have to happen another time!

We hope you are all staying safe by washing your hands often, staying indoors and helping your grown-ups during this difficult time too. Don’t forget to clap every Thursday at 8pm for our amazing NHS who are helping lots of people and their families who are poorly.

We are thinking of you all every single day and are hoping and praying that we’ll be back together soon. We look forward to seeing you all soon but for now, enjoy the sunshine (fingers crossed), find different ways to relax and take care of yourselves and your loved ones.

See you all soon! From Miss Roome, Miss Smith and Mrs Singh
